Seriously, it's not that big a deal. It's not improbable in any form, infact it's an extremely likely scenario.

Could not agree more. There could be at least a dozen (if not more) rationals behind what fuels the corvette young Kirk is driving.

The simple fact that by Kirk's day actual fossil fuels are in such little demand that whatever its needed for theres enough left to power it.

or by their time its that damn easy to turn hydrocarbon sources into petrol any enthusiast can have a home hobby machine that makes it for them.

Considering some of the current research projects, it is very probable we can make gasoline without any problems. (ie switchgrass or bacteria to gasoline)


Also it is probable the corvet does not have the same engine we are used to.

He's been cracking me up all along, that Wormhole. He's subtle, though, and not everyone picked up on it right away.

Seeing some people's reactions to me has made me laugh my ass off so much I often find myself still cracking up about it when I'm out in public.

Who freaking cares about the fuel ? The truth is that trek was used up and JJ has buffed it all up and made it new again, so lets enjoy it, or we could go into the theater and spend every minute picking it apart and getting so pissed that we don't enjoy it. Everyone might aswell face the fact that this is the direction that trek is going. There is no turning back, so accept it or be a starwars only fan and enjoy PM with all the Jar Jar goodness.
