Fringe

I just finished and I am just awestruck. I agree that the series is a bit uneven but it really hits it out of the park with the last one. I am not going to give anything away but you could have knocked me over with a feather when I saw the gravestone. :cardie: And then there is the final pullback...

This one is definitely on my list to watch now. Can't wait for Thursday.

(And on a completely different note: I have always wandered why Joshua Jackson talks all mush-mouthed. Half the time I have no idea what he is saying because he sounds like he took speech lessons from Sherri Lewis doing Lamb-Chop. Then I noticed he has a crooked front tooth. I don't think the tooth itself is the problem but the fact he is trying to hide it.)

Ability was the real selling point for me on this show. I'm on episode 17 right now and should finish tonight.

Just finish by Thursday.

I only watched the first 6-7 episodes and i couldn't stand it. The main characters were blah, the main actress was boring and stiff. Then I read the name of the season finale which is a huge spoiler by itself and watched the episode. Wonderful!

I would never have thought of Anna Torv as stiff. Her character is about as emotional as they come. I'm gonna watch the NFL game tonight then I'm going to watch the finale! Then wait in suspense for a few days I'm sure.

I watched the show as it aired and loved it (which should be obvious to anyone who keeps an eye on my avatar) but I picked up the DVD and have been going through it again. I just finished "Inner Child." I think the second time around the series is even more fun.

IMO none of the revelations in the season finale were that shocking... Almost all of it had been hinted earlier throughout the season, but the finale pulled it together in one great package.

SPACE is also showing the series here in Canada, although 5 days after the U.S. broadcast. I don't think I can wait that long, so I guess I'll end up having to tape CSI this Thursday. :P

I enjoyed it. I almost wonder if it took FOX a whole season to warm up to the idea of an alternate reality.

You could have spoilers for it sheesh... :-p

Also the creators plan was to have the first season finale be the plot for the THIRD season finale, but decided to move it up once they realized the addience could handle it.

I'm glad they didn't wait otherwise there would never have made it to a third season. makes me worry if that was supposed to be the season 3 plot are they already running out of ideas?

Without this it's just the X-Files. They did the right thing trying to differentiate the show from being just another 'freak of the week' type show.

What was cool about the season finale is how the surprise cliffhanger ending wasn't even the biggest surprise of the episode!

Although for some reason I never thought of Peter being kidnapped from the alternate universe until he and Walter were in the car talking that it connected for me regarding the confession Walter made several episodes earlier about taking something back that he had lost.

I guess if Mark Valley's new show fails, he can return as alternate reality Agent Scott.

I can't believe they moved it to Thursday.

With The Office, Fringe and the show I dubbed the John Cho/Joseph Fiennes hour (Flash Forward), I will be one busy girl on Thursdays.

My brother-in-law ranted and raved about Fringe and how it was up my alley.

He did not give up until I started watching. What a dear!
