Fringe: Season 1 Episodes I Can Skip?

Mr. B

After seeing some promos with a familiar guest star, I've taken an interest in the show Fringe and have thus far seen the 1st three episodes. One criticism I have read is that it starts to get repetitive. I'm not far in so I can't weigh in on that view myself yet. As I would like to get caught up in a reasonably short amount of time, I am curious what, if any episodes I can safely skip over for now and still have a firm grasp on what's going on in the series.

Well season one is only twenty episodes. And while it may seem like an X-Files clone at first, it does lead up to an actual premise and direction. Little things add up to big things later.

The first half of the first season does tend to be a little repetitive. And for a while it seemed like that's the direction that the show would continue in, the freaky-incident-of-the-week theme. But in the second half things are stirred up a bit, the formula of the episodes begins to change, and it's more about an overall show arc. I really would suggest watching all of the episodes, or at least reading about the ones you missed online. But since you are already three in, I say just watch the whole thing.
