Walter asks Nina if she can understand the connection between Peter and the doomsday device, while the team visits the assembly of the doomsday device at Massive Dynamic. Meanwhile, a dead body's discovery causes a huge investigation.

This episode looks fun, but I wish they took longer to build the thing.

I guess we're to assume that a fair amount of time has gone by since Astrid figured out where all the pieces were.

This should be great though, hopefully a bit more fast-paced than last week.

If you mean from a storytelling perspective, I'm inclined to think that another layer of the onion is about to be peeled and we're going to get a whole ton more of questions.

I wouldn't disagree with that statement. As the late WWF announcer Gorilla Monsoon might've said, "I think business is about to pick up."

:rommie:

I completely agree with that. However the machine looks almost done and I wish a few episodes mentioned that they were rounding up the pieces, even in countries that hate us.

I figured Peter wouldn't be anywhere near it until much closer to the end of the season.

You bring up another point I've wondered about, just how the Fringe team went about convincing the upper government to get them permission to dig in these various, unfriendly countries. Perhaps we'll get an explanation on that, if we're lucky.

The really big question, in all of this, is how a device built a gazillion years ago, is connected to one person, living now, who actually was born in the alt-verse.

:alienblush:

I love this show.

Ahh... finally got my surround sound speakers hooked back up after moving. This show has the best sound. Those machine noises shook my room.

I just figured we sneaked in. But it would have been fun if they mentioned having issues getting the parts together because of the host governments.

Obviously we can't go into China and go "You have part on an ancient race super weapon, can we come and get it?" to them.

Oh well.

I forgot we were missing a part so we can't plug Peter into yet... damn!
