Question: why did Walter build the conduit between the universes on ice?

I think it had something to do with the fabric between the two universes being the thinnest there. Also, I think he said something about the water aiding in the process.

I'm loving this episode. But I do have one question: when he noticed that the vial broke, why didn't Walter go to the altWalter at Cambridge and tell him how to make the cure, rather than bringing Peter back with him?

The Bishop boys have got the worst luck ever.

I wonder how walternate is going to explain how he didn't come pick up Peter from the house. It might make for a neat episode like B(squared) and the World Without End.

How would you react if you met your alternate self?

Plus if the two see each other the whole fabric of the universe might collapse.

Then we wouldn't have Peter 2.0 here. Not to mention the problems with explaining his own origin and the events of our reality.

Then that would make the Alt Bishop go insane and create dimension hopping to find his Peter.

Best. Ep. Ever.

That was incredible, I am just kinda blown away by what we just saw.
Ditto. I still think I need to see the episode again. It was just that good (without being entirely obvious about its story, characters and theme). I *really* enjoyed this episode. I'm hoping that a more critical eye during a repeat viewing enjoys it just as much.

I will say this, though: I really can't wait to see that 80s intro again. Fan-effing-tastic.

A definate Excellent! A tour de force for Noble :techman:

A episode entitled "Peter" where Joshua Jackson got no screen time

Okay, here's my other question: How is it that Peter 2.0 doesn't realize that he's not where he was? He was fully concious when Walter brought him through the portal; he had to realize that SOMETHING was different. How or what has made him forget that incident I wonder? Just the overwhelming trauma of it all?

I'm going to go with psychological trauma because he was a child. That'd explain his nightmares. He was trying to deal with the sudden change in realities without quite knowing how,

Well guys, I'm outta here for now. Samurai, I'll see you tomorrow I suspect for Smallville commentary. This was great, I'm glad we've got a straight run now until the end of the season.

BTW, did anyone else read Noble's interview in TV Guide? He drops a few hints of things to come.

That's as good of an explanation as any. I can't wait until 2.0 learns about who he really is. I'm guessing that he's not going to be happy when he learns the truth.
