I gave it somewhere between "Above Average" and "Excellent". However, because it was a lot more engaging then last week, I rounded-up to "Excellent".

Love the Walter angst and Nina talking him down. Maybe there is another way. And maybe Walternate was never challenged to find one because he doesn't have a Nina on his side. Also, I like that Walter now understands Walternate's reasons. Maybe Walternate will one day understand Walter's reasons for taking Peter.

Hope is the key. I can't wait for the next episode! I'm just hoping that Walter deoesn't break my heart like he did in "Peter".

Just to let you know FRINGE recovered about 10% in the audience ratings and went back above 4 million. Also the show jumped back to a 1.5 rating the so called cut off point issued by FOX executive Kevin Reilly, when he said 80% of the Thursday audience means season 4.

Also Fringe won the night in the 18-34 male demo and overall FOX tied for the night in the 18-49 demo.

oh and why do I have the feeling that the 3rd season finale is going to be a massive vortex splitting open our two worlds :p

Depending on how much time passes for the rest of the season, maybe finale of season three will be about Peter going back to the other side to steal his baby?

I hope the ratings continue to improve every week from now on, even if only slightly.

The rumor mill has WB and Bad Robtot (the latter desperate for a 4th season) preping a deal for FOX to get a shorten 4th season. Most people think 13 episodes but I feel 15 cause it rounds it to 80 a more appealing number for sydnication.

The fate of Fringe will most likely be virtually known come March when it return from a break.

It seems like Fringe should be one of those shows that starts at the beginning of the year and just plays straight through May like Fox did with 24. It would help with the flow of the narrative rather than having long breaks here and there.

Probably though you could argue that for many shows. I will say that Fringe taking over the 24 slot would of meant we would never have been in this position.

A shortened fourth season is probably the best that we could hope. I would be psyched to get new episodes at all to form a conclusion to the show.

This was a good set-up episode for things to come but I don't think it was particularly mind-blowing. I think I miss the episodic flow of the first season that had an overarching narrative in the background. As much as I like Peter and Olivia, I would prefer that the episodes not spend half the time focusing on their relationship.
