Hard to believe it's really been that long. I still remember the anticipation of having Trek on TV again and the inevitable comparisons to TOS.
25 years? That's right, it has been that long.
Oh dear, I hope not. Five seasons, four different universes? Plus, I don't think 13 episodes is long enough to flesh out yet another universe.
I think it's time they shut the bridge between both worlds.

I remember seeing The Voyage Home at the theater with my dad and brother. Although I wouldn't watch TNG until later in the 2nd season.
Yeah, when we first met Nick in season 2, he was able to control people, make them kill themselves. Just by being around them. His emotional state was "Contagious". So by considering suicide, his sister killed herself instead.
The second season was where the show began to get a bit more intriguing, but it wasn't until Season 3 that it really found its own voice and stood out from TOS, IMO.
