I'm on dial up internet so I can't download episodes. Thanks. I guess that does confirm he's a baby Observer!

The thing is that the room was more than just sealed off; it didn't even exist in the blueprints. It was literally a secret underground lair.

I have to agree with Gertch, for some reason, I just can't seem to warm up to her character or get excited about her.

It took me a while to connect with her character. The character is fairly emotionally reserved, subtle, and Anna Torv makes some pretty economical acting choices, so I can see how others wouldn't.

I want to find out more about his time in seclusion. That's just a little to fantastic to swallow. Who put him there, when, why, how was he to eventually escape?

Clearly he was put there not to be found and not to escape. This begs the question - assuming he is an Observer In Waiting - are Observers created by placing kids with certain abilities under those conditions? And who exactly is "growing" these Observers?

I give this episode a Good.

An interesting Monster of the Week story with a little bit of an arc twist at the end. I'm looking forward to next week!

Dissapointment of the night: Finding out that the actress who plays Astrid is a lesbian. Thanks Quantum! :scream:
How's that a disappointment? I don't think you (or I) had much of a shot with her anyway.

Have you not been watching the show? They all but told you exactly why the Observer looks the way he does and how it occurs. He's not some alien race from Planet Observe and those aren't natural characteristics. Why he's there and what he's doing are valid questions that have yet to be addressed, but for the love of God quit trying to pass him off as some mysterious mutant grown in a lab or a race from afar.

The kid is just another person from the other dimension; people of whom the NSA/CIA/whoever are rounding up. It's that simple. How that particularly boy got there and why he was trapped, again, are valid questions. But this "growing" theory is ridiculous.

Actually, I had a relationship once with Jasika Nicole... which is why she's now a lesbian. :(
