Well, actually, it's supposed to be 'Friday.'

What is our society coming to. Young teens and preteens with rich parents want to become stars like Beiber so they send their money to a music production team that will produce anything regardless of merit. sounds like the literary scams I've heard about...'get published...!' all that. I remember when getting a record deal was extremely difficult.

now this girl is cryin' because of all the feedback she's gotten. Even at her age, she should know that her song, and her "Auto-tuned' highly robotic signing sucks.

I'm not eager to know about other "acts" this company is promoting now.

Parents trying to buy careers for their kids isn't anything new.
What is: how easy it is to produce stuff and get it out there.
At first I was all: YEAH, this song hella sucks. Because it does. But, now... things have gone to far.

She's 13, she doesn't know her singing "sucks." 13 isn't like the new 25. She can't even DRIVE.

At least she had the guts to put herself out there....

Yeesh, her voice is so robotic, there is no character to it at all. It might even be a half-decent song if she was actually singing it instead of AutoTuning the shit out of it.

Yes, the song is horrible, but I honestly don't see how it's oh-so-much worse than any other random crap running on the radio all day; like what about this mind-boggingly terrible "Hey, Soul Sister" shit? My ears start bleeding whenever I hear that (which is far too often). And I bet the guy who made that song got stinking fucking rich off it too...

I actually like that song. OK, not a lot, but it's kinda cheery and catchy enough for the radio.

This drivel, however, is like a reject from the Sesame Street back catalogue. And why is a 13 year old driving?

I think it's kind of cute.

I mean objectively, it's dreck but an awful lot of pop music is utterly dreadful. This at least has a certain innocent charm.

Man - that backseat/front seat dilemma. Real human pain. :D When I was thirteen my best friends and I had a "band" and were writing stuff that was exactly as dreadful as this.

Yeah, it's adorable.

Also it's now firmly lodged in my brain.

The song is just awful, but I don't blame her for that, I blame the person who wrote it. "Yesterday was Thursday, today is Friday, tomorrow is Saturday, Sunday comes afterwards."

Complete dreck and largely deserving of its infamy. Good for her, though - living the dream, even if it's only for now.

I imagine that this is going to get hummed a lot in the workplace.

Well, one think you can't knock is how well done the production is. It's a very nicely polished video.

So let's see $2K for this song and 26 million hits on Youtube, articles on CNN and People, I bet she's at the very least made her money back not to mention is known now (even if infamously).

The song is terrible, but terrible songs and people trying to become famous without talent aren't new. It's just with the internet, we have greater access. If she had done a more mediocre song (instead of such a genuinely terrible one), she wouldn't have gotten any attention at all.

Yeah, no kidding. She's not doing a terrible job performing it, but good lord, those lyrics are atrocious.

Partyin' partyin' yeah!
Partyin' partyin' yeah!
Fun, fun, fun, fun...

Yeah, it's nothing compared to such former Nobel Prize for Literature worthy chartstorming songs containing lyrics such as
Ski bi di bi di do bap do
Do bam do

Bada bwi ba ba bada bo
Baba ba da bo
Bwi ba ba ba do

or

Im blue da ba dee da ba di
da ba dee da ba di
da ba dee da ba di
da ba dee Da ba di
da ba dee da ba di

(and I really don't "follow" music much, I have no doubt more knowledgable people could immediately come up with even more egregious examples)
