Friday (6/19) Box Office - Trek #7 - $1.25 million

I recommend waiting 5 years or preferably 7 before making another film.

This will allow fans to forget what this one was about.

They should also not release this one on DVD to make it easier for fans to forget it.

ST 09 surpassed STTMP as the top grossing domestic ST movie adjusted for ticket prices:

STTMP:$235,305,065

ST 09: $235,994,000

Anyway, largest percentage increase Th-Fr of all movies--and it pulled ahead of LotL...! Can NatM be next?
Yeah, I miss the list thingy; no offense to Chartman. The more visual aids the better.

We paid visit #18 to the movie tonight at the IMAX.

i thought the imax bought out the best in the movie plus the lens flare were far less noticable when seen in the imax theatre.

i regret ours isnt showing it earlier then 930 because i cant find anyone wanting to see it that late.

Kaziarl, I saw it maybe four times in a regular theater, and the rest IMAX. I really like the bigger picture. It engulfs you; you are there. Chris Pine's eyes are very big and blue.

The sound is better, too. In the bar scene, for example, you can't always tell if it's the guy next to you laughing or somebody on screen.

pookha, I know what you mean. The 9:30 show puts me out kind of late to drive home alone.

1.25 is a VERY solid number.

I had previously expected 250M as a possibility in late July, with the last 5M being slow and drawn out.

That may change if this weekend nets 4-5M and if next weekend can miraculously hold at 2-3M against TR2.

I dunno. next weekend's going to be really hard. all those IMAXes that are re-showing Trek this weekend? all of them will probably desert us for T2. :(
