Beautiful ship. Any chance of some interior shots sometime soon?

James

I don't know. Oyl was working on an aspect of that, I think, but I'm pretty sure that when we get the exterior done, that will be it, for this ship. I know Ron Caudillo was/is working on some of the sets for the TOS Enterprise, to made up for paper models, but I doubt at this point it's on the board.

Dude, she will be perfect! Mr. anonymous is really fast in modelling!!

It blows my mind what he can do and how fast he can do it. he's not even a CG guy, he's using Turbo Cad for his end of it and doing a damned fine job. I got another batch of files from him tonight, but I don't want to be a forum hog, so I'll let it ride for awhile.

You gotta love it. this guy has NO training and only does this for a hobby. I keep waiting for the naysayers to come and rip it apart. You know, the guys that ripped apart the original thread, lo, that many months ago..... LOL
ROTFLMAO!!!!

I'm laughing at all of the "know it alls." you've got to remember, every once in awhile, someone is going to come along and make you look like.....

Where's all of that demeaning, belittling, BS now?

Having worked on this project in some small way and having gotten to know the true and faithful servants, all of whom have given just diligence, I must say that lo, this project, though it be not done, yea it be of a marvelous nature. Fair thee well all involved, fair thee well.

I'm sure he would appreciate the offer, but I don't see the neccesity. Everyone has their own way of doing things and I knda like the purdy colors!

On 'refit100.jpg' he models the spine of the secondary hull and the torp deck. I always imagined that to be one of the structural 'strong backs' of the ship and this helps me see that even more clearly.

But that's my Trekverse!
Terrific stuff here! Terrific!

Yes, he's done a fine job and I'm proud to have been some small part of the whole. Again, it just goes to show what can be done when people work together and egos don't get involved. Oyl and Mr. Anonymous have been the work horses behind the project and it's great to watch it all come to the fore.

There have been discussions of creating an uber-version of my Papermodel with various removable hull panels for cutaway type views of the most common compartments.
eg. bridge, sickbay, torpedo room, engineering, shuttlembay...

The already large (1/350 scale) papermodel would be upsized again for something of this nature, and probably most of one side of the saucer removed, as well as the same side nacelle for sake of displaying it against a wall or such!!!
(that would be optional - all parts WOULD be included for those wanting to complete it)

I have also talked to several people who model interior trek sets in paper to collaborate with, but so far discussions are just preliminary. nothing set in stone yet...
