FREE 200-Page Graphic Novel, "Star Trek vs. Star Wars"

Chuck Weiss

Ensign
Newbie
Greetings,

I’ve written and illustrated a graphic novel called, “Star Trek vs. Star Wars – A New Hope,” and I’m offering it as a free download at Scribd.com. Here’s the URL. https://www.scribd.com/document/354457733/Star-Trek-vs-Star-Wars-A-New-Hope. (cut and paste into your browser)

This is an historic cross-over, featuring the two great titans of Science Fiction. If you like it, it’s my hope that you’ll pass it along to others. All I want is for fans to enjoy it.

I earned my Star Trek credentials in 1974 when I co-founded the Federation Trading Post, with stores in Berkeley, California, and New York City. It was the first retail store ever devoted to a television series. People Magazine published an article about us at the time, Jan. 12, 1975 edition. (It’s also available at Scribd.com.)

Live long and prosper,

Chuck Weiss

Why is this still in this forum? Oh GSchnitzer, doesn't this belong in Fan Fiction pr Fan Art?

I couldn't get past page three. Truly dire.

I’m sorry but I have to defend myself. You couldn’t possible have formed an opinion as to the merits of my graphic novel after only looking at three pages of what is basically a big comic book. If you want to criticize my work, please do so on specific points, so I can rebut them. To just dismiss me out of hand, does everyone here a disservice, including yourself.

Hey Chuck. Welcome.

Honestly, this work really belongs in a different forum, as this one's dedicated to fanmade films and animations, not printed or illustrated works. The moderator will likely move it to the correct forum.

As to rebutting: people like what they like. One man's "dire" is another's "awesome". Is it worth arguing personal taste? And, to be fair to those it doesn't work for, it's a work-in-progress, so it's not like anyone can judge it as a finished piece.

But it's not really a graphic novel. It's some clip-art with some dialogue.
