Fox to make action movie about Stan Lee's life

Why not have the actor playing Stan(the man)interact with animated versions of his most famous creations?

That might be the only way the FF are faithfully depicted onscreen.

I heard about this but didn't realize it was coming from Fox. So they can't even mention the other properties that they don't have the license to?

I realize this is not going to be purely autobiographical, but how do you do a Stan Lee story without mentioning his most famous creations?

This actually sounds pretty cool. I wonder if his alter ego will be called "The Man." :rommie:

Stan will always be a hero to me.
I know that there are "behind the scenes" stories of ego clashes etc. but I ignore these just as I do the stories of Trek's producers/talent.

You post just made me think the movie should feature an epic team-up between Stan Lee and Gene Roddenberry. And along the way, they run into aspiring filmmaker George Lucas.

I think The Man should get his marching orders from The King. :mallory:

His Merry Marvel marching orders!

That's a mistake. Real people are treated unjustly as a result, denied the credit and compensation they're rightly due for their creations while praise and wealth are heaped on the undeserving.

I doubt that one poster on the TrekBBS choosing to not let those stories influence his vision of Stan has any effect on who gets credited for what.

As for the movie, three words: Giant Evil Stan.

Exactly,Old mixer.
My opinion of Stan is just that...my opinion.Still entitled to that methinks.I do not know,or realistically, care much about creative or business disputes that happened a very long time ago.
Back when I was a kid there wasn't much "geek culture".American comics were a colourful and exciting rarity,a pleasure of which I have very fond memories of to this day.
And in the middle of it all was Stan Lee with his outrageous, effusive eloquence(which I wish I could match). An inspiration to me and I suspect many others,I will always be grateful to Stan.
If,Denis that doesn't suit you...learn to cope with disappointment.
