Fox orders Lethal Weapon pilot

Any chances that this will last longer than Rush Hour did?

I rather liked both shows. Its kind of a shame they weren't on the same network. It could have been a hour block of action movie madness. I think they would have complemented each other well.

Gotta dig this up once more. I really liked the mid-season finale this week. With it being a Christmas episode, they mirrored some beats from the original movie, like a girl involved with criminals falling from a building into a car to the sound of a Christmas pop song, a female witness being killed in an explosion, and the villains threatening Murtaugh's family. Very nice.

At the half season point I would say it is the best adaptation of an old movie or TV series introduced in a while.

This show is incredibly entertaining. Some of the people who did "Chuck" are involved in it, and I can tell when I watch the episodes. The shows are stylistically similar. But the leads also have great chemistry, and it's funny, which saves it when the cop case stuff gets kinda boring.

I have to say it's growing on me, even the actor who plays Riggs (still can't remember actor names).

It's still no original Lethal Weapon from 87 but that had acting powerhouses Gibson and Glover + a very dark theme with Riggs suicidal tendencies so it's hard to follow in these footsteps. The show does well enough now and has settled in a good pace and i like to see it.

I just watched the pilot episode with the wife tonight.....We went in with low expectations and both really liked it. We will most likely binge the next episodes tomorrow night!

I hope you enjoy it, because it really improves over the course of the 13 episodes that they've aired so far.

So... Captain Brooks Avery, seems like a pretty blatant Trek nod to me? Or at least a nod to Brooks, surely, can't be a coincidence.

Ed Murphy

Anybody know why Riggs' dead wife's name changed from Victoria in the films to Miranda in the show? Also Roger's son is now Roger Jr. instead of Nick.
My speculation, word association Secret came up when I hear Victoria and CBS has that franchise with annual specials
