Former 'American Idol' Contestant Killed

Shit, people, let's just piss on everyone who wants to take a second and think about it when people die. Obviously their only motive is to be seen and heard and why the hell do they care about someone they don't know, I mean there's never a good reason, so let's just make sure those people realize how wrong they are by acting this way. Piss all over the thread. The dead person's only important if they've never been on TV. They got their reward, right? They committed the crime of being seen on TV and now they're fucking worthless, I get it. How dare we try as a species to think about death, to maybe ruminate on seeing people and knowing what will happen, the sadness that their dreams will never be fulfilled. Holy fucking christ on a cross, those people who think that way must be fucking retarded. Why the fuck do we care about people. As long as I get my TV, fast food, fuck every once in a while, who gives a good goddamn about my neighbor, am I right? I am a rock, I am an island.

God damn.

J.

I know you're a good person, J., but if you actually gave a damn about people in general dying as much as you say you do you'd go crazy. Some American Idol contestant from years ago gets killed and it's "Boo hoo I'm so sad" and the tears start pouring and the threads start popping, why aren't you sad about the thousands of kids who died someplace in the world today with swollen bellies? I've never seen you start a thread about child poverty and starvation, J., so if people in general dying upsets you as much as you say it does I figured you'd have started one. I see one for Ron Silver, one for Farah Fawcett.... that's it going back two years.

I have plenty of sympathy for the dead, I just don't feel the need to start threads on the Internet to "deal" with it.

:rolleyes: First off Alexis Cohen AKA Glitter Girl was a popular auditioner on AI this year and last year. She was popular because of her funny abrasive antics with Simon. But many viewers watching liked it and could see that Alexis was more than that. I for one enjoyed her short but fun time on AI. She was on it more than 30 seconds. She was also interviewed on news programs. Despite it all she was really trying to carve out a career for herself. I remembered her well from AI after her first audition and was surprised to see her on this past year. I was also very saddened to hear about her death. Most AI fans where.

Since you seem to think its inconsequential to mourn the loss of Alexis because there are thousands of children dying every day, I also expect to not see you in other RIP threads again. So when an A list actor you like passes on I hope to not see you post there. Right?? By your thinking you dont need to sympathize on the internet. For some reason though I bet when a big name dies you will be there.

As for J. he has one of the biggest hearts on this BBS. For you to question that is unfair. Im sure he has given his attentions to those starving children more than you ever have. Why even post on a thread like this if you dont care?

Why do some people immediately assume that just because someone starts a thread on a TV/radio/sports personality's death, it's going to be some funeral wake? :wtf: I realize Alexis Cohen is probably not newsworthy to you, but since this is the GTVM forum, I just thought I'd post something related to American Idol. No harm there that I can see. Do I feel sorry for the deceased? Yes. Am I bawling? No. If you don't like a thread, you don't have to read or reply to it. Just move on to the next one.

Let's face it, some people just hate American Idol so much that they will use any opportunity to dump on it, even someone's death. So what if Alexis was only on a couple of episodes? How many people on this board mourned the loss of Kellie Waymire, and how much screentime did she actually have on Enterprise?

And there was a thread in here less than two weeks ago about some random guy dying who was on You Can't Do That on Television, and nobody complained about that. In fact, there were no replies at all.

If you hate AI, fine, but it doesn't require you to take a huge crap all over the people who like it.

I don't start threads about child poverty because I'm too busy doing something about it, and that's all you need to know on that one. I don't go airing what I do to give proof or garner accolades.

It doesn't always have to be started to deal with it. Death is a universal constant. We all die. Sometimes there is an event that brings us together long enough to talk about it. This is just one of those instances.
