I'm sure there are dozens from all eras! I recall a time when I could see these older movies on Sunday afternoon matinees, something kids/teens probably don't have anymore with video games, and glossy summer sci fi. Despite seeing dozens of these, occasionally I still come up with some I haven't seen. Recently in the last few years I've discovered foreign or Eastern Bloc sci fi films, mainly of the 60s. Often these are more imaginative and take a more serious POV than American movies of the same period.
My most recent discovery that I never saw before: Assignment:Outer Space. Only available in a poor print, it's an Italian space opera, with a surprisingly rigorous look at real space travel. Sure it has some stilted dialogue, the main protagonist/reporter is as arrogant as can be, and the commander of the ship is a bit of a rambling philosopher, but a lot of the tech looks like it could almost be on a real spacecraft. It's more ambitious than even some recent space dramas of the last 15 years...showing us several bases, a high speed space chase, and more than a handful of spacecraft that go beyond the avg rocketship with tail fins (though those are present too). It also is public domain! So take a look:
