How can you get used to something that causes you to get white spots before your eyes and prevents you from seeing what is on the screen? I had no problem with the lens flare in the Bar, and it wasn't so bad in other parts of the ship, but, the Bridge scenes, with all that stark white background blinded me and made me see white spots and have blurry vision.I think lens flare is to the 2010's what 'Shaky Cam' was to the 00's... people will get used to it. And old people will complain and then die off.
I love the first film, but, it's really difficult to watch scenes on the bridge. For me, it's not just something to whine about, or to bash the film with, but, a real, physical manifestation of a vision problem it causes. People apaprently don't realize this when they say things like, "Oh, they'll get used it" or "Get over it"
