for New Frontier fans re: yahoo groups

Yahoo is going to be discontinuing their groups. I was hoping that there are still people around here from those days who were members of the startreknewfrontier and NF Fan Fic yahoo groups. I'm working on trying to save as much as I can before Yahoo deletes it, but I can't save all the messages and fan fic like I want since I wasn't in charge of either group.

Does anyone know who ran those groups and if there's any way to get in touch with them?

I was a member of a New Frontier/Peter David listserv back in the day. It was fun interacting with PAD there.

But can't you just "copy and save" what's on the group?

I've been wondering the same sort of thing about archiving the SNW_Writers group.

I’m glad you mentioned this because I wasn’t aware of this happening. The Star Trek Timeliners’ yahoo group has all the work that went into publishing the timeline in the back of Voyages of Imagination, and it would be a shame for all that info to be lost.

I put in the request for Yahoo to send me the archive of the group data two days ago but still haven’t heard back from them. Maybe it just takes a while? Anyone else had any luck with that on any other groups?

I can't get help to load and haven't heard back from any of the list owners I emailed through their official email address. There are archiving programs you can buy, but none are Mac compatible.

@Therin of Andor I spent a couple days manually saving photos, files and links. However this is time prohibitive for some groups with a lot of photos. It also doesn't address the issue of messages. I haven't been able to figure out how to easily save those.
