For my birthday

Miss Chicken

Usually on my birthday my friends and I go out to the pub for a meal, or something similar.

However this year I want to have a small 'children's bithday party' as I never had one as a child. I always wanted one as a child and I remember my mother organising one for my sisters and my brother but she never organise one for me. It really hurt me that I never had a party of my own.

I thought my sons could organise with a little help from my friends.

Do you think this is a strange idea? Do you think I should suggest it?

It's you'r birthday and you'll have cake and ice cream if you want to!

Tbh it's sounds fun and could be a laugh so long as everyone gets in the mood, pass the parcel, pin the tail on the donkey etc etc

Yes - do whatever you wish (within legal limits and your own comfort zone) and Happy Birthday to you!

The old sleepover with pin the tail on the donkey following by uncomfortable truth or dare where you end up seeing your friends' not quite developed fun parts. Good times!

You should send out invitation cards saying:
"You're invited to my party! What we'll do is a surprise! Bring your swimsuit!"

Sounds fabulous! How long till your birthday? I ask because I think it would be awesome to plan the theme - you know going to the shops that sell party stuff, and researching cake themes and all that malarkey. You could even have goodie bags with cake to give your friends to take away. I bet they'd all enjoy it, just as much as you would!

My own kids have been to several birthday parties at a roller or ice skating rink or a bowling alley. I think an adult party like that would be worth it just for the laughs!

I've been begging for a build-a-bear party for a couple years now, so I think you've got an awesome idea. Definitely go for it!

When I first met hubby, we spent my birthday playing miniature golf, as I had never done it as a kid. It was AWESOME.

I highly recommend doing the "kid's party"--the sillier, the better. Life is too short. Celebrate now.

I think it's always a great idea to either recreate your childhood or create an experience you missed. Have fun. :)

It's a great idea, I hope you enjoy it!! Think hard about the theme you want for the plates and decorations and tablecloths - that's the most exciting part!
