I suggest that a novel would be the best medium to explore the Time War.
I think this is the best idea. Davies has a lot of great ideas but quite often his execution and follow through are terrible.^ Or better yet. Russell tells the guys at big finish his idea and they get different writers to show their own take on it. The ENTIRE war doesn't have to be written by Russell
^ Yeah that'll be pretty simple. The trouble is with Christopher Eccleston. He said he didn't want to be typecast as the Doctor, which is why he stopped.
^ I think the ultimate purpose of the Time Crack as a plot device was to suggest and which was stated by the Doctor...that time isn't fixed and can be rewritten. That doesn't mean though that things were erased by the resetting of the universe. I think fans (specifically our good friend EJA) is taking this literally. Anyways onwards and upwards!

good point admiral..
though i wouldn't mind seeing moffat change things, and bring back the time lords, and some other classic characters.. who are on the time lord level..the osirins come to mind..suktech??
I may have wrote that wrong..
what about those aliens who threatened gallifrey in the invasion of time?? with the time lords gone, maybe their race came back into power and broke the time loop..
that would be cool change to the past.
