For fans of the Romulan Bird of Prey...

Unfortunately, all that link does for non-Facebook users is to take you to Doug's main page.

That is a pretty cool ship. I wonder what references he has for the "studio scale" that the rest of us don't have... if any.

Sorry, folks. These are but two images of Doug Drexler showing a custom built studio scale TOS Romulan warship. It looks very nice.

That is very cool. I've always loved the minimalist design of the BoP.

Of wood? It looks like a tough project with the curved surfaces.

There's a lot of ways to do this. Carved out of wood is a good one. Sheet styrene or making molds and laying up fiberglass would also work very well. I'd love to learn more about this model.

Escape maneuver one!

When I saw the title of the thread, I briefly thought that perhaps the original shooting model had been found intact. But this is cool also.

Fantastic, always loved the design of that ship..like Matt Jefferies Enterprise and a 1950s spaceship combined... Wah Chang had an eye for design..

As a man who cannot open a Can of Peas without destroying both the Can and the Peas contained therein, I am - and forever always will be - in awe of people who can disappear into their basements or garages, and emerge with such works - amazing.

Very well done. He's a great talent.

I worked on the original AMT kit, which was a nightmare of inaccuracies BTW. I never finished it, but had finished that lowered ridge on the outside edge along with the angled edge.

Starting from scratch...a whole other level of amazing.
