For fans of Star Trek: The Experience

For those of you who are still in mourning for STTE Classic (and waiting breathlessly for further news of STTE-A), sink your teeth into the juicy goodness of the following site:

http://s99.photobucket.com/albums/l284/vernon_wilmer/

Vernon Wilmer is our unofficial historian and is in the process of collecting vast amounts of images and video in reference to STTE. Revisit some of your old friends and if you have any photos to share with Vernon, I'm sure he'd be interested, especially from the early years. I find it interesting that due to the expansion of digital photography there are many more images from STTE's closing than there are of its opening.

Enjoy,

Biggshow, AKA Kralk, son of T'Nek, and unofficial STTE pimp.

I found the above stated link a couple of weeks ago from his youtube site. I still haven't got through all of the photos. Great link, check out Vernon's youtube site also. Biggshow thanks for all of the updates on the STTE-A. In dire need of info so I can schedule my next vacation.

Kev.

Your welcome. I suppose one thing I learned about the fate of STTE Classic is that the more the merrier. When it finally does reopen, I want to make sure it's got a big head of steam behind it in terms of a fanbase.

Also, just so you all have it handy, here's Vernon's Youtube channel: www.youtube.com/user/VWVVWVVWV

And you can always catch live updates as they come in with the Away Team over at www.uglycouchshow.com. There's a Couchcast coming up in which six of us former employees tell zany fun-filled behind the scenes stories. It's Couchcast 11 coming soon to an internet connection near you.

Thanks for the link!

I'm hoping STTE II will be even more incredible than the first. I will definitely head out to Vegas when it gets up and running.

Oh my god! I just found this while i was looking for Vegas webcams::eek:

Its a 360 degree panoramic view of Quarks, you can tilt up to see Voyager and the Enterprise, I can also zoom in and out with my scroll wheel!!!:) It just took me right back, especially standing underneath Voyager!

Vernon's pics are great, i'm watching some of the vids on youtube as well.

Nice video Biggshow. Is it something that is going to be down loadable or do you know how it is going to be accessible?

Kev

Apparently, it's going to be a fully 360 site. Vernon is helping him get all the video elements and he usually updates all the STTE old-timers so I'll update you all when I get word.

That is very cool! It makes me all nostalgic...

I've been lucky enough to be able to beta test the website and I can say that it is amazing! Right now the video isnt incorporated, but the 360 panoramas are enough by themselves!

As to downloading, that is not going to be available as far as I know. Currently it's an embedded flash object on the website.

Do you have the link to the web site?

Kev

Kev,
As of right now, the link has only been given to a select few who are working/helping with the project, as it is still in the construction stage. The base of the site is set, but there are some more details that the creator is working on. I'm sure that as soon as it is public, you will all know.

Someone please post to this thread, to which we've all subscribed, when that happens!

Thanks!
