Just read trekkiedane's description of his morning coffee ritual and I think the award should go to him. With two young pups my morning ritual involves more of going outside for walks, feeding, watering and yelling things like "Get off the couch!"
However, in a moment I will grab my tall mug of French roast and the paper and settle in with the two furballs on my lap for our little space of "coffee cuddle time". It's worth it.
Oh my, all I did was post the specifics of making a pot of coffee...

I need an ice-crusher (nothing quite like crushed ice to prepare your glass for a Dry Martini (my second-most loved drink!))...
So, today I went out to get one (usually the crank operated ones are plentiful and cheap), but couldn't find any where ever I went
Eventually I ended up in a store where I found a couple of decent whiskey glasses (which I also needed) at a decent price -AND a very nice looking coffee grinder tagged with an unreasonably low price! -I immediately cornered a salesperson and told her that I wanted three of those (for the three different kinds of beans that I usually have)... Alas, it was the last one they had and she couldn't tell whether they'd be able to get more of them -oh well, ~100 USD saved, I suppose *phew* (I would have bought them If they'd had them!)
Anyways, the heart of this story is that I found myself a new coffee mug! Double walled porcelain with a silicone travel lid (cost the same as the three whiskey glasses I also bought) -No more Trek-look-alike metal mugs for me!
May I add the following question to this thread: What is your favourite/usual/preferred container to drink your coffee from?
