Wow that word got out fast, they wil never get the planes on the ground in time though
They don't have to. As long as they haven't already just begun to land or take off they can be placed on auto-pilot to maintain speed and altitude for up to the entire flight if I remember correctly.

There better be some kind of follow up, damn that was awesome.

I lost interest in the show ages ago, but sorry for you guys who didn't get a satisfying ending.

true about the auto-pilot, smaller planes and helecopters, not so much
Helicopters can be set to hover in place and as for personal planes I believe that they can lock the stick in place so they just don't go plummeting in the ground.

Well Procutus, its been fun, all I have left now is 2 more episodes of SGU and 5 more of Doctor Who.

Well folks, it was fun while it lasted. I'm going to have to make a point of reading Sawyer's novel just for comparison.

Tom, unless you're hosting a live commentary for the SGU finale, this will probably be my last one until September when Smallville returns. Drop me a PM to let me know your plans for SGU.

:techman:

Well I am the one that creates most of the SGU comentary threads (unless i go out that night) so I should be there although no new show this weekend.

It's a bit of shame that FlashForward got cancelled, not being a longrunning show like Heroes ultimately did not deserve to be, though FlashForward attempting to be a longrunning show was pretty much what killed it, inviting all the inane padding that eroded the interests of the audience and network. FlashForward should've been a mini-series with the rather tight premise that it had.

Yeah, maybe a 6 or 10 episode mini-series. That way they could've trimmed some of the other character arcs and focused more on a smaller cast.
