What little I see here works well for me. The boots will be a big deal for this character, they cant be chunky looking. The cowl though looks pretty sleek so maybe they nailed it. Fingers crossed.

Yes, I noticed they only incorporated the lightning bolts into the ear area but not the bulkier earpiece. It makes it look a little more streamlined.

Okay, then, I guess I'll be the lone voice to say that I don't like the earpiece. I don't hate it, but it looks awkward. Almost too streamlined. Oh well, it's not a sticking point for me.

It's not like there's not a precedent for chunky boots in Flash comics:

Even Ethan Van Sciver in Flash: Rebirth drew Barry with somewhat substantial boots:

I'd much rather they give him well-defined boots or more practical running footwear than the footies they gave him in the old TV show's pilot. (I think they added defined boots after that, but they still blended in color-wise.)

I haven't thought to much about the earpieces or whether or not they'd update them but they did and I like it. It's not too flashy.

Captain America's little wings hugging his scull don't look stupid, but it's forgettably inaccurate, and almost the same dealio that the Flash has going on with his headgear.
