First Terra Nova dinos unleashed

Although, I gotta call RAMA out here for excessive corporate shillery. One or two fast-cut seconds of singular dino action hardly counts as "dinos unleashed." It's a super-brief teaser, is all.

I can't wait! I LOVE shows with dinosaurs in them. Except for Dragon Wars which was beyond stink.

Can't say I'm remotely interested, and hell, I wouldn't mind being a paleontologist.

It just doesn't look like anything I'd care for.

I'll be watching this one for Stephen Lang, Christine Adams and the dinos. I expect all of them to be holy terrors! :rommie: That should make up for what no doubt will be the standard Speilbergian vanilla family at the center of the story.

Here's a bit of interesting news: the dinos might be more colorful than expected - in line with some recent research that suggests that dinos looked more like tropical birds today than the beige beasts that movies usually depict.

Cool NatGeo story on colorful dinos.

I was just trying to make my titles more exciting.

I'll watch the pilot anyway. Dinosaurs are always fun, and Stephen Lang was the only thing good about Avatar. Whether or not I'll stick with this depends on my opinion of the pilot.

I fully expect Stephen Lang to give a speech like that in the pilot:

"You are not in Kansas anymore. You are in Terra Nova, ladies and gentlemen. Respect that fact every second of every day. If there is a Hell, you might wanna go there for some R & R after a tour in Terra Nova. Out there beyond that fence every living thing that crawls, flies, or squats in the mud wants to kill you and eat your eyes for jujubes. As head of security, it is my job to keep you alive. I will not succeed. Not with all of you. If you wish to survive, you need to cultivate a strong, mental aptitude. You got to obey the rules: Terra Nova rules."

I'll be tuning it for at least the first few episodes. I'm a sucker for dinosaurs and Spielberg obviously has some pretty impressive producer credits in his history.

I'm curious about the premise ... is anyone worried about killing their great x 10^8 grandfather and altering the timeline, or are they assuming that they're in an alternate reality?

It's been speculated that they picked the Cretaceous period because they know that most life was wiped out with the meteor impact. So the risk of changing their future is minimal.

Of course it's a TV show and dinosaurs are cool. The rest is just technobabble.

^Right. I guess there are two reasons for people to watch. Dinos and Quaritch. I think it has the potential to be awesome.

Alright, I admit it, the dinosaurs are part of why I want to watch the show. :)
