First ten movies --theatrical version or director's cut?

If I wanted to get the theatrical cuts, which DVD release is best? I'm tempted to go with the widescreen edition single disc releases. There are others however, the "double feature" releases, the 50th anniversary releases, the 2013 releases...I'm looking for them as they were originally in the theatre if I can find them, if not, then I'll go for something else...
That's a good question. I don't know. I'm fairly certain that theatrical TMP was released on DVD after the DE was released, but I have no link for this.

I haven't seen TWOK or TMP director's cut, but I prefer TUC extended. The scenes with Colonel West and other conspirators really add umph to the film.

TMP - Director's Cut

Nemesis is the only other one that could improve with an extended cut, but since the original version is the only one available...

II through X - Theatrical Cut
I think I'm am going to take your advice, because 1. The original ST: TMP is very hard to find and I like the special effects, but I think I'm going to also keep TWOK the directors cut, cause I like the dialogue between Saavik and Spock about Kirk be so "human", which I believe is in the theatrical release, but I also like the extended dialogue between Kirk and McCoy. With TUC, I hate that "bonging" sound and the scene with Rene Aubergenois (sp) is really isn't needed, though I do like him as an actor. Everything from TFF onward, I saw in the theatre anyway.

I've read a few bad reviews about the double feature sets, and the 50th anniversary release supposedly has no 2.0 soundtrack. Anyway, I think I'm going to go for the single disc 1990's/2000's widescreen releases. It's also easier.

TMP - Directors Cut (wish the studio would put out some money to get this on bluray. They already have a beautiful bluray transfer of the theatrical...they could even re-release both cuts on one disk)
TWOK - I like both cuts
TUC - Theatrical (There were some changes made in the DC that just weren't needed, like the bong sound when the conspirators are revealed. Sticks out like a sore thumb)

TWOK - Director's edition for me. Think it adds a lot of emotional context and watching that version was the first time I truly realised the full majesty of the movie itself.
