First Screening for Paramount Brass

Eh? Maybe DS9 with weird-ass syndication hours, but VOY and ENT were on between 7-9pm (CST) on weekdays. That should be before bedtimes (unless they have psycho parents that need to get the kids to bed at 6pm).

I thought the US times for VOY and ENT, being on the UPN, varied from city to city, and state to state, and were often in late-night timeslots? And that many places couldn't even receive a UPN station? I was sure I'd read that ENT was 10pm in many places.

Here in Oz, most of TNG, and all of DS9, VOY and ENT aired out of prime time, getting later all the time. 10.30 pm and eventually midnight. so much for family viewing.

The opposite, actually. Being on a network - of sorts - meant that in most markets where UPN was available "Voyager" and "Enterprise" ran at the same time on the same night. It was the syndicated Trek shows - TNG and DS9 - that varied a lot from city to city.

I had a really tough time trying to watch DS9 when it was airing. My local channel was always preempting it for basketball and then moving the show time to around 2 Am on a Sunday. Or a Saturday. Or whatever day they felt like airing it. That's one reason why I never got into that show when it was running.
