I was going to, my councilor talked me out of it, wasn't a lot of money in the field and it would be mostly teaching work. Wish I hadn't listened but am glad to be able to see these new discoveries every months or so.

I think they need better names. Mostly they seem to be around numbered stars. HB1123745-B doesn't sound sexy enough for something as awesome as an extrasolar planet.

Save the names for "important" ones.

People have been working over the International Astronomical Union over this naming thing for a few years now. Nothing's been resolved so far, I believe.
