however... i can't be the only one who thinks that both these actors are really well cast, but neither looks like nimoy as much as successfully embodies the character of spock.

I think Quinto bares a better resemblance to Nimoy. Peck looks nothing like Nimoy at all. Throw on the makeup and dress them all as Spock and I can't help it, the first one is the yardstick. Nimoy IS Spock Quinto's Spock looks more like Nimoy's Spock though.

I know its superficial but I think looks has a lot to do with it. Quinto is more handsome than Ethan Peck as a man

You must have a much higher Rob Schneider tolerance than I do! I thought Franken was a good Ferengi, and Stewart is clearly having fun.. but the Guinan bit was painful and Farley/Hartman are half asleep.

At least we only have to wait 25 years or so for a cruise ship with beautifully sculpted nacelles

Where is said ship? All I see is a flying bathtub with a couple of backscratchers.
