This...it doesn't look right. I can't even put my finger on what it is. I didn't have this reaction the first time I saw Quinto Spock. This looks like one of those Star Trek Halloween Costume images with a random model.

It looks like it doesn't have the proper set lighting you would see in an official promo picture. When I've seen behind the scenes pictures of super hero costumes they always look bad. That's because we not seeing it woth all the lighting or cgi stuff.

I think Quinto looks more like Nimoy, but Peck isn't too far off.
I like it. There's something hard to pinpoint about Quinto's resting face that to me says, "Inquisitive." Nimoy and Peck both have faces that read more "critical." Maybe that's why I prefer Peck in the role so far--the intensity and edge is there.
That said, I think we need to wait until we can see the full effect from not a bizarre angle though. Seriously, Peck doesn't even look like Peck in this shot.

What I find most striking and good casting is that Peck looks a lot more like he could actually be James Frain's son than Nimoy looks like he could be Marc Lenard's son or Quinto looks like he could be Ben Cross' son.
