First Contact...

If you were a crew member on the Enterprise in First Contact, would you have rather stayed on the Enterprise or would you have rather been a part of the away party, If you would rather stay on the Ent, you must be a Klingon at heart "Today is a good day to Die" mentality. If you would have rather been a member of the away party, you may be of the "Today is not a good day to Die" mind set, all things said I think I would rather been on the away party, how about you???

Let's see... Be able to take part in a pivital moment in history, or be dodging Borg who are trying to assimilate my ass? It's a tough choice, but I'd have to go with AWAY TEAM!!

FC team every time... it would look good at promotion time!

Plus, if you join Starfleet, you're probably the adventuresome type in the first place.

Yes, pretty much a no-brainer.

Plus, on the surface, you get to party with drunk Troi.

(moving to Trek movies)

Well of course the away team! Just from the onset, to be a part of history.

Though to be honest deep down inside I am still a soldier at heart, so my gut tells me to be where I can take a stand and defend my friends and home aboard ship.

But to see the Phoenix for someone at that time, would be like someone offering me a chance to a the launch of a Saturn V! Or a tour of an Apollo Capsule!

Who could ever pass up such a chance if given a choice!

Today might be a good day to die. But a famous day several hundred years in the past? Pass.

Away team for sure! Heck they where practically on vacation looking at the sites where museums now stood, getting drunk, partying, and trying to meet Zefram Cochrane. Meanwhile the people on the Enterprise where getting killed left and right.

Ahhh away team wins for me. Especially when we get to self-destruct...

I think one of the novels indicated that 400 crew had died during the Borg fight in orbit. Not canon, but...

Easy choice!

Guess I'm in the minority but I would pick to stay on the Enterprise.

1. Less people on the ground screwing with our history the better. I understand they had to go down, I just would not. It had the potential to go wrong just as well as good.

2. I prefer to be lead my Picard over Riker. Only so much posing I can handle.

Sitting here attempting to meditate I have counted the number of ways I know of killing a Borg using just a finger, a hand, a foot. I had reached ninety four when you created this thread. So I'd be on the ship, slaying Borg drones.

Huh, I never realized that this is one of the few times where it's safer to be on the Away Team than to be on the ship...

"Computer! Neuro-anaesthesia-anti Borg gas now!"

They can assimilate, but they gotta breathe. An obvious loophole... or not, depending on how you interpret the deflector dish scenes.

If I were the borg I'd have a cybernetic lung system with bottled oxygen at the ready for those such cases.
