So I've been watching FC and there is that part when Picard takes Lily to a small room to show her the view from space. It appears to be a fairly small room with a small door that opens up to the outside of the ship, it looks as if the room might be along the underside of the Enterprise and close to the hull.

I'm curious as to what that room is and it's function. Does anyone know the answer?
