Maybe a mod should change the title to indicate that the images in this thread have nothing to do with the actual ship and not even the final version of the toy.

The inset image seems to have text printed in white across the same area. Perhaps it was blacked out on the larger?

Maybe a mod should change the title to indicate that the images in this thread have nothing to do with the actual ship and not even the final version of the toy.

I'm not sure that I like that design...I'm all for new designs and what not, love the new Enterprise and I'm the only one of my friends that think that way, but not digging the Narada. Hopefully this is just the toy model and not the real ship. Maybe it will grow on me though after the finalized version is released.

It's not just a giant space squid, it's a feathered giant space squid.

That makes all the difference. It's a tie in to the appearance of Quetzalcoatl TAS.

I'm just glad it's not a TNG Warbird jerry-rigged with a temporal device/time thingamajig in a similar vein to future-Admiral Janeway's Starfleet shuttlecraft in "Endgame." A standard TREK ship souped up with a time travel device you plug in like Christmas lights.

Now, back on topic. I, too, am glad that they didn't just take a Romulan warbird and add a Flux Capacitor. As for the design of the Narada itself. She is definitely alien to anything we've seen before, which is kinda hard to do for trekkies, but it's a good thing.
