Firefox Personas have been around for a while, now - there's some good images available, but as the default size of a Persona image is 3000x200 pixels (in order to accommodate all resolution/screensize combinations), they never seem to look quite right to me.
So, I was thinking - if you don't care about uploading your creations to the Personas gallery, why not make custom ones that fit your browser perfectly? Personas allows you to upload a Custom Persona direct from your hard-drive to your browser, after all. And they can be less than 3000x200 pixels in size, too...
I decided I wanted a small image that sat on the right side of my toolbars (Personas anchors the image to the top-right corner), for an uncluttered look. And as Personas accepts PNG image files (static, animated AND with transparency), I created this animated PNG with transparency - I used the Firefox extension APNG Edit - that is the same height as my Firefox toolbars:
GIFs can also be used. But I was in a PNG mood, so...
Personas can be fun! Anyone else use them?
