Finally, The Humans In Trek Are Allowed To Show Emotions Again!

Did you notice that the humans were a lot more emotional in this movie than in anything Berman produced?

Garrett Wang has said that Rick Berman forced all the actors portraying human characters to tone down their emotions since it would make the aliens seem more alien lol.

They seemed more down to earth, yes.

(Spock Prime to Kirk) "I was, and always will be, your friend."
(Kirk to Spock Prime) "Bullshit."

Now that's something I can relate to, more then "We live in a utopian society where everyone is perfect and attaining knowledge is the only goal". :D

The emotions do seem more varied out of necessity.. you'd never hear a line like "Come with me, cupcake" in the other movies.

Damn. And I was hoping man would have learned to tone it down a little over the next two or three hundred years.

The characters were definitely a lot more human. Nobody was perfect and that helped the story a lot.
