Finally some Tocal Recall footage

Flying Spaghetti Monster

Hey there, it's one those "trailers for a trailer" (which is just an asinine result of pop culture stupidity) but what I do like is that -even though Mars isn't featured, the future Earth looks like a really spectacular place.. an emmersive world in its own right.

Could be the sleeper hit of the year. A few shots could generate more buzz than TDKR. Sure I wanna see TDKR, but what I've seen so far hasn't gotten my pulse going at all.

So apparently in this version, the guy doesn't go to Mars, but instead travels to Coruscant, flies speeders, and meets Clone Troopers...? :D

(I actually kind of liked the teaser, just couldn't resist noting the similarities)

I can't get the trailer to view (just a blank area on the screen). Does this not work with Firefox?

Anyhoo, here is what I assume is the same trailer, but from YouTube:

Total Recall didn't need a remake. Collin is no Arnie.

This movie will flop badly.:p

You might have some no-script elements set to "forbid" certain necessary addresses.

Worked for me in FFx.

Looks like it could be an OK generic sci-fi thriller.

Looks a lot cooler than I expected, even though it's basically the same future-world we already saw in I, Robot or Minority Report.

Interesting... It's surreal seeing Colin in the chair having grown up with the original but the setting is intriguing.

A trailer for a teaser trailer?

It does look interesting but the "no Mars" thing is going to be hard to look past.

I can't help but notice that this movie also utilizes the Kate Beckinsale ass shot in it's trailer.

I support this.

It's hard to judge based upon 30 seconds with no dialogue, but it doesn't look bad so far.

Part of me wishes we could get a version with more fidelity to Dick's original story (I think the Verhoeven take on the material was excellent, and don't see the benefit of remaking that), but maybe this will work out.

I mean, Bryan Cranston!

Why? The core issues about question of identity and the oppressive government are still there and probably even more central to the story.

If I recall correctly he didn't get to Mars in the short story - but it has beem many years since I read it.
