Your update of the Traitor's Claw is easily identifiable as the Kzin ship, is clearly made with modern tools, possesses that retro-kitsch the hipsters seem to love, and is toy-ready. Clearly perfect for the 21st century.

To me, the standard of turning a successfull sci-fi live-action franchise into a television cartoon franchise is the Star Wars Clone Wars/Rebels series. And monodox's effort looks like it would fit right in to those shows, while still being recognizably the Orion ship from TAS.
