We built this city! We built this city on vfx!

Of course, in science fiction, when you build worlds, you have to also build the places on those worlds where people live, work, and occasionally plot the destruction of other worlds and civilizations. This month, Winston Smith, inspired by the previews of Star Trek: Into Darkness and its peek into the world as JJ sees it, asked us to plan our own cities of the Great Bird's future.

Now you can see and vote for the city of your imagination, as visualized by our architestants :).

Your vote is another brick in the wall, with the resulting Mayor of Smithville getting a joyous greeting at the gates, and assuming the mantle of March Challenger.

Vote, citizens! It's not only your right, it's your responsibility! :bolian: (voting ends 4/6/13)

This is without a doubt the toughest choice I have ever had to make. All the entries were so damn good but in the end, BK613 had a little edge . Really well done everyone.

awesome work by all. but a domed city on the moon has my vote. the stark illustration style fits the mood.

This was really hard to choose. They were all awesome. I would have chosen Klaus if he had added some clouds. But I went with BK. It was just such a well realised plan and illustration.

Very tough choice! Had to go with aridas in the end. Interesting how the topography of SF changes in the future, looks like a massive quake rather than a sea level rise.

Klaus did add clouds...

Either it's a 3-way tie for second, or the poll is trying to flip me off.... :shifty:

I went with B.J.'s vista. I liked the blend of TOS and TWOK elements, and the buildings had the proper Starbase 11 feel. I think it could pass as a sketch of a screen grab from a hypothetical, but unmade, entry in Prime Universe canon.

Congrats, BK613- great job!

Nicely done, all - a lot of thought and a lot of work obviously went into these :bolian:.
