Hey, am I the only one who wasn't aware that engineering was a brewery, in ST XI?

I thought it reminded me of the inner workings of the Visitor mothership of "V" and "V: The Final Battle". Imagine my surprise to learn it was, indeed, the same brewery.

I only saw the original V last year - and my reaction was, "It's the Enterprise!":D

(right down to "That's where Kirk found Uhura!" and "That's where Kirk and Scotty were running from security!")

To say more would reveal spoilers

about Sisko's time-travelling visit to the 23rd C. Niners rule!

Isn't baseball dead by the 23rd century?

Yep.

Well, in Trek lore professional baseball ended in the middle of the 21st century. Actually, it would be logical to assume all professional sports came to an end around this time because of World War III.
During the recovery, the professional leagues probably weren't started up again because there were more pressing needs and maybe different cultural and economic sensibilities. The game of baseball however, carried on, and seemed to have enjoyed a large popular comeback in amateur club form by the 24th century.

From certain references in various Trek series episodes, football (American football) seems to have survived into the 23rd and 24th centuries, too. Though it almost certainly wouldn't mean the NFL still exists.
