Ferengi Marauders

I don't mind that the marauders didn't act in the Dominion War or picked fights with the Defiant, but I thought it was silly that they never actually showed them in the one series where the Ferengi were rather prominent. The Nagus, while he likes a low profile, would probably either be in one of those ships or have them as a guard to his smaller vessel no?
I just didn't like the whole pretending they don't exist solely to tone down the militancy of the Ferengi and up their comedy. The Ferengi could still be a parody of Mankind's greed while having a few Marauders. Hell, even one docked at DS9 would have been cool. Even if it was never named or belonged to anyone of any importance.

It would have been fun to see the marauder and more serious Ferengi stories on DS9. Like if they came in offering to lend the Bajorans a lot of cash for rights to dump toxic waste no one else wants on one of their moons or something.
DS9 would have been a great place to play with some of the seedier or less highfalutin aliens and ships, and the marauder is #1 on that list.
Maybe if they didn’t spend as much time on the Dominion and did more with the earlier concept of the show we’d have gotten more stories with it.
Maybe we would have gotten to see what Orion Syndicate ships looked like pre-ENT or if they travel in futuristic limousines. Nausicaan or Chalnoth pirate ships might have been making trouble for Bajoran commerce needing Defiant intervention. Talarian or Tzenkethi or Miradorn or Jarada warships it might have been cool to see docked at the ring too. Others?
