How often are you supposed to give your cat snacks? If my cat is standing up, 50/50 chance he wants something to eat. He's actually at his ideal weight and it doesn't affect his meals if I give him a lot of snacks throughout the day.

My cat started a new habit. When I pick up his bowl to fill it with his next meal, he starts to swipe at it. Not sure why. It's not like the bowl's ever been taken away and never returned. It always comes back.

A trick my cat can do is to catch treats that are being thrown at him. He missed two in a row and they both bounced to the same spot. He went to eat one and ended up eating both at the same time, then looked around for a moment because he was confused why there wasn't a second treat on the floor.
