That said, check with your vet. Some breds tend to live longer, so the switch might be delayed to nine or ten years of age.

So, last night, I went to brush my teeth. I finally got the last little bit of toothpaste out of the tube the night before, so I picked up the brand-new tube, flipped the top open and squeezed. Toothpaste oozed out of a dozen pinholes on the crimped end. No, not pinholes ... tooth marks. One of the fur-balls likes to chew on plastic and decided to chew on the end of my toothpaste tube!! {sigh}
