Feline Follies

Spidercat, Spidercat, does whatever a Spidercat does...

Is it out of print? If you click on the Hardcover tab, they're as low as $27 for new (or is that the price that's too high?).

alibris.com and abebooks.com have used for around $22.

Ah - I didn't notice it was back in print! Been out of print for some time. I think they originally issued that back in the late 1980's to early 90's...

So, I go to take a blood sugar reading and "stage" the reader by putting a strip halfway into the slot and putting a fresh needle in the lancer, then I went in the kitchen to rinse my hands with hot water (soap or alcohol will skew the readings). When I came back in, one of the cats (Mycroft) was "inspecting" the device. I shooed him away and pushed the strip the rest of the way in. Error code. I pulled it out and checked it. The little *bleep* chewed on the strip!!!! I had to throw it away and get another strip out of the container. And here I thought he was trying to run off with the lancer (again).

When I first got my cat, I bought him this really stupid toy that was supposed to stimulate his mind. In order to eat the snack, he has to push the cover off it. Will he push it left? Or will he push it right?

Meanwhile, he can open the front door and remove his collar.

Not sure our cats ever learned to open the door but then they didn't need to do - the dog flap was easier.

One of them was a past master at the collar removing game and was once seen with his head in a position to stop the bell on his collar ringing so he didn't alert his prey.
