Feline Follies

That's not a cat, that's a FLOOF!

We just adopted a three-year-old female Siamese / Domestic Shorthair cat mix named Cocoa:
I hope you have another cat or two, or at least a dog she gets along with.. Siamese, even half-Siamese, are very social animals and will go spastic if left alone too long too often.

Yeah, I have a female Domestic Shorthair named Lily. My other cat Sierra (CiCi) died of cancer earlier this year, so it's good for Lily to have another companion as well.

And that's what's sad about my situation. I had "Smokey" and "The Bandit" together for over 16 years and lost Bandit in June of last year.

I had brought my mother's cat (Missy) over since my mother needed to go to a memory care home and Missy just can't get along with other cats. She was always a loner. Smokey definitely seems to miss Bandit (since they'd been together pretty much their whole lives) and I can tell she WOULD accept Missy as a friend so..?

What do you do?

Yet our part siamese wasn't particularly sociable with other pets though she had her moments (did have a very strong bond with my sister) except when she put the fear of god into the rottie :)
