I lost my good kitty Charlie last night. She had to be put to sleep. She almost made it to 16 years old. Thank you @TribbleFeeder for the shoulder to cry on.
I'm so sorry for your loss, @Gary Mitchell . Our furry family members enrich our lives in so many ways, and their absence is so deeply felt. All my sympathies to you.
that is a long time to care for a cat--- It is important to grieve our own way... everyone is different --- take time to grieve your loss I found myself thinking about my childhood cat 000 and missing my red--- her name was red she was a kind of orange cat.. I raised since her mom birthed her... I never saw her die or bury her and the last time I saw her at about 19-20 years old in my life she was very old and had bugs all over her ... but I could not care for her and went back to college at that time--- the sadness never ended for me but it is easier to live with.
Gary, I haven’t been able to think of much else today. My heart is truly with you right now. I wish I could give you and your mom the biggest of hugs. Charlie was a special girl. She was unique and quirky, those pictures are such a beautiful representation of her personality. Most of all she loved you so much and she definitely knew how much you loved her, because it was so very, very much. <3
I'm so so sorry for your loss, Gary. I've lost 3 kitties and it never gets any easier. My son and I still talk about them and their funny kitty quirks.
I know how you feel... Bandit's been gone for ... 2 1/2 years? At least his 'sister by another mother' is still going strong at nearly 19. Always hurts to loose anyone you love, human or otherwise.
