have any of you ever tried to let your cat sniff valerian root? It is a lot like cat nip for cats. Our cat goes nuts when I let her sniff the empty bottle. I never give her any, just the sniff and she acts just like she does with cat nip. She rolls around and looks so happy.

I had no idea. I'll have to try that with my cat. Catnip doesn't affect her very much.
 
An old shop cat, a female mixed tabby with some definite Siamese tendencies would get more psycho with catnip, but would get silly with a piece of green olive.
