C'Mon! You know better than to read random stuff on the internet without checking Snopes first? A story like this doesn't begin to sound true in the slightest.

The US government doesn't OWN these private properties. Therefore is has no legal claim to them nor can it use them as collateral. Utter damn nonsense.

Can we still overthrow the government in a violent coup anyway? That sounds like it would be fun.

Heh heh heh. Right. I'm glad Tim beat me to snopes. One little test for these things that you can do without even visiting Snopes is asking yourself if it even makes sense. If it doesn't even make logical sense, then you can bet that it's probably another internet fake. Like this case.
