Federation Starship Escape Pod design.

dansst

Lieutenant Junior Grade
Red Shirt
Good day,

Anyone know where I can get blueprints and design considerations for Federation starship Escape Pods?
As in, escape pods for USS ENTERPRISE-D, E and USS VOYAGER?

How many people can occupy it? One, seven, more?

Thanks,
Dan

I just googled "star trek starship escape pods" and clicked on "images" and got all kinds of pics and schematics, most can be found at "ex-astris-scientia" though, thats probably your best bet for info like this?

Excellent site, and I agree, most likely the resource I need. Just wished to know about the sizes too, and so I'll delve deeper into the astris-scientia articles to see if that's there too.
Thanks. All the best,
Dan

I would say that the size would be relative to the class of ship. It would depend on the number of pods in place, the number of crew on board, duty stations and quarters in each section of the ship, as well as contingencies for worst case scenario (for example if one deck was cut off for whatever reason, that the remaining pods could cope with the additional personnel).

I know that may not help exactly pin down the number per pod, but its something to consider.

dansst, I believe what sojourner was trying to point out is the "Quote" button, which gives you the boxed text of the post you are trying to quote; this was in response to your post where you appear to have copied and pasted the contents of the previous post, making them appear to be part of your own statement. Based on one's browser and screen size, his arrow may not be pointing to that "Quote" button.
