Federation Commander Briefing #1 Cover

Hey guys. My latest FedCom cover. What do you think?

Briefing-1-cover.jpg

very minor critique ... the drone trails look very decidedly 'off' there. Too 'plumey' for the effect you're going for.

They were less plumey to begin with. A lot straighter, much less variation. It was very boring and didn't look good. I think this is better. It kind of evokes a rocket launch in my opinion.

And before anyone points it out, I'm aware smoke trails in space is unrealistic. They're purely artistic. If this picture were realistic, you wouldn't be able to see the ships because they'd be moving faster than the eye can percieve.

Icy - Still lovin' this work. Keep it up.

BTW, can you get the game materials (specifically the ship models, not so much the game itself) at a comic book or hobby shop or is it only available through the website?

Not sure exactly what you mean by this.

If you mean miniatures, a lot of game stores carry them. But a lot of them don't. I'd recommend calling ahead before you go looking for them. If they don't have them, you'll probably have to go with the website.

If you mean 3D models, they were made by me(or Ted Geibel, for the older stuff). So if you have a specific request regarding them, PM me.

And thanks!

I think he's looking for the miniatures. They ARE sold to gaming chains, but they're decidedly hard to find. Your best bet is going to be the SFB store to order them. (The SFB store has been VERY good in my experience.)

The game, Federation Commander, should be at nearly all gaming stores.

That's a rockin Kzinti model. You've definitely upgraded the visual FX for SFB covers and the whole persona of SFB designs.

Yes, I meant the miniatures. I remember having a bunch from my days as a young'un and was hoping to introduce them to my kids. I have checked at the local comic shop, but they don't have them. I can go through the website and get them, though. I just didn't want to have to answer any questions from "She Who Must Be Obeyed."

And thanks!

No sir. Thank you for the fine work and for sharing it with us.
